Urologist Positions at NexGen Surgical
Urologists who are ready to trade the hustle and bustle of a busy practice for a calmer-paced position without taking pay cuts are ideal candidates for NexGen Surgical. Our urologists work two weeks out of the month while enjoying no calls during their time off. You will earn better compensation than in your current practice. Administrative duties such as payroll, billing, staffing, reimbursement and other tasks will be handled by NexGen’s professional administrative team, allowing you to solely focus your attention on patient care. Importantly, even though our model removes administrative burdens for urologists, we will never take away autonomy.
Urologist Responsibilities and Expectations
NexGen Surgical is in a unique position to add urologists to our team because we consider the dynamics of the entire surgical team in our hiring decisions. We know how to assemble a winning team and run an efficient practice as evidenced by our successes through our sister company, CCI Anesthesia. We also know how to support our physicians personally and professionally while empowering them to live the lifestyles they desire. When considering urologists to join our team, we are looking for candidates who are well prepared to:
- Examine, diagnose and treat patient conditions and disorders of the genitourinary tracts and organs
- Order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests
- Work in concert with nephrologists to treat kidney patients
- Use specialized equipment including x-rays, fluoroscopes and catheters
- Perform abdominal, pelvic and retroperitoneal surgeries
- Prescribe medications when appropriate
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
- Direct nurses, residents or other staff.
Ideal candidates will have good communication and interpersonal skills with a background in strong decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills. An affinity for keeping up to date on the latest urological technologies and implementing the most advanced procedures in treating patients is also a desirable trait.
Urologist Skills and Qualification Requirements
NexGen Surgical requires our MDs and DOs to have completed a successful residency in their specialty of choice. We also require board certification and state licensure in the state where your position will be held. NexGen Surgical physicians must remain in compliance with all laws and hospital policies and must be available to work two weeks per month. Importantly, NexGen physicians are high-performing and hardworking. Physicians interested in advancement opportunities may be interested in Regional Medical Officer roles within NexGen Surgical. These physician leaders are often able to maintain a practice while also managing regional clinical initiatives.
